Before School Care:
We open from 7:00am until school staff come on duty (St Paul’s 8.35am & CPS 8.45am) where we drop off the children to the supervised playground for morning play. During this time, we offer them a heathy breakfast (cereals and milk, toast with butter, fruits etc). They also get the chance to play some of their favourite games & activities, both indoor and outdoor, with their friends before starting their school day.
After School Care:
After School Care commences at 3.10pm with roll call at our meeting point at St Paul’s. Children have a short period of time to play and get out the energy stored from being in the classroom for the last 2 hours. Students wishing to complete any homework tasks can utilise this time to do that. After this we commence afternoon tea with our healthy and yummy variety of snacks and delicious seasonal fruits. From around 4.10pm our program time begins. We have 3 program groups, Kindy program, Juniors (years 1 – 4) and seniors (years 5 & 6). Our programs are designed in line with the children’s interest and incorporate various themes that are pertinent at different times of the year, eg Easter, Mothers Day, NAIDOC week etc. Program time runs for around 30 mins after which the children can choose to continue this in a less structured way or they have free time with supervised activities both inside and outside. Ultimately, our service ensures that whatever we do the children have great fun in a relaxed, yet stimulating environment.
Children can be picked up anytime throughout the afternoon, giving parents much needed flexibility. We close at 6.00pm.
Our wonderful holiday programs are out around mid-term each term and include a variety of excursions, incursions and centre-based days. Our holiday care starts at 7.00am daily and closes at 6.00pm. Holiday programs and booking forms can be downloaded from our website or collected in service from around week 5 or 6 each term.

Mick Rasmussen – Owner, Sherpa Kids Narellan
My name is Mick Rasmussen. I am the owner of Sherpa Kids Narellan, which includes our services at St Paul’s Camden and St John’s Campbelltown. I am a qualified primary school teacher and have taught at St Paul’s Camden in a full time capacity from 2009 – 2013. It was during this time that gave me the idea to start a before and after school care business at the school. I started the business at St. Paul’s in 2013 and then at St John’s a year later.
We are really proud to where we have journeyed to in that time, from 2 boys on the first morning to now supporting over 300 families across the two schools and caring for approximately 60-70 children at each session daily.
I have been blessed with two fantastic teams at both schools whose paramount focus is on the children and their families. In addition we are very fortunate to be partnering with two wonderful schools with very supportive principals and Parish Priests.

I really Iove to see them have fun.
This year I am the Kindy program coordinator and can’t wait to get started. I have many new ideas and hope to see the kids have as much enjoyment out of our program. The Kinder transition program has been hugely successful from a developmental point of view both socially and academically.

I have been a part of Sherpa for 2 years now and I love being able to work with the children here at St. Pauls.
I love being outside, so I enjoy taking the children out to run, play and organise our active sports program. (Parent) – St Paul’s “Our boys love going to Sherpa Kids for Vacation Care and Before/After school care. The activities are well planned, diverse and engage the boys imagination. The range of Vacation Care activities are great. Before School Care provides a nutritious breakfast and the boys are excited to get to school early to start the day with some fun. They manage to get some homework done in the afternoons before we pick them up, as well as having a snack and play. They are disappointed when we pick them up early! As parents, we are delighted that the boys are happy to attend. The environment is safe and secure, and familiar to both parents and children. We don’t have to be concerned with travel to and from the site. The most reassuring part of our experience with Sherpa Kids is that our children are with staff who know them, who we have dealt with as class teacher, and who the boys have formed a bond with. Leaving our boys in the hands of someone we trust certainly makes it easier to juggle our work commitments and family life.”
(Parent) – St Paul’s “Sherpa Kids is a high quality before and after school care facility. The children are bursting with excitement to attend and participate in the multitude of activities on offer. From crafts to sports my kids are overjoyed to be a part of the Sherpa Kids crowd.”
